Galaxy® HDX Family

6th Generation RAID

Rorke Data’s award-winning Galaxy® HDX RAID family is widely considered the workhorse of the M&E industry. Currently in its 6th generation, HDX supports any operating system, edit platform or recording format available today. Tested, certified, proven and supported – this is our most robust RAID line.

Host interfaces such as Fibre Channel, SAS, iSCSI and legacy SCSI are integrated with the latest RAID edition SAS and SATA hard drives. Galaxy HDX can be deployed as a direct-attached RAID or SAN storage appliance and has the most configuration options of any of our Galaxy products including 8 bay, 12 bay, 16 bay and 24 bay chassis as well JBOD expansion.

Galaxy® Aurora Family

Purpose-built for performance

The Galaxy® Aurora is a purpose-built RAID 6 direct-attach or SAN appliance that is a natural addition to Rorke’s open architecture philosophy. Aurora uses patent-pending EOS technology built around our multi-thread RAID 6 algorithm which takes advantage of high performance multi-core CPU processors.

Aurora’s adaptable design integrates with the latest hardware options such as processors, network connectivity and solid state drives. Using industry standard server components allows Aurora to “leap-frog” other manufacturers’ RAID roadmaps and eliminates the bottleneck of traditional hardware ASICs.

Galaxy® 3G Family

The Galaxy 3G Family is a line of value-based, scalable RAID solutions.

The Galaxy 3G, available in 12 and 16 bay chassis, makes increasing your storage capacity simple and easy to manage. By adding 16 bay SAS/SATA JBODs, the 3G can scale up to 80 hard drives under a single RAID head. 3G is available in Fibre Channel and SAS host interfaces, and supports the latest SAS and SATA hard drives.

The Galaxy 3G RAID is available as a single or dual controller with cache upgrade options up to 2GB per controller. With Rorke AV firmware, the 3G can be tuned to double your write performance. Galaxy 3G is compatible with Rorke and Apple SAN environments, as well as other SAN management software and OS platforms.

Galaxy® LX NAS Family

Rorke Data’s Galaxy LX4 NAS is a scalable, feature rich NAS and iSCSI appliance in an all-in-one storage system. With capacities up to 80TB, this low cost network appliance is easily integrated into any post or broadcast environment. Galaxy LX4 scales above the typical 16TB limits of other NAS systems and offers RAID 6 data protection with a simple to use administration GUI.

Galaxy LX4 scales easily and offers RAID protection, a secure locked down OS, replication, snapshot and cloning features. We pre-configure the Galaxy LX4 to literally drop into your existing IP infrastructure and be operational within minutes.

SAN - Storage Area Networks	Rorke Data designs SAN solutions that save our customers time and money by efficiently sharing their data and securely managing their content. One of our unique advantages is having an in-house engineering team that understands your applications. With access to over 150 hardware and software products to choose from, we work with you to customize your SAN solution. Since 1993, the Rorke Interoperability SAN Lab has served as a real-world test environment for the latest industry products. Our engineers perform proof-of concept and benchmark testing on the applications you use. We also use the Lab to pre-stage custom SAN configurations specific to your workflow. Archive & Backup	Rorke Data’s family of Archive and Backup solutions protect and preserve valuable data throughout all stages of your workflow.
